What's Floating around Cloud 9? 8 October 2018

Welcome to another week and for the first time in ages, we missed our weekly blogs post last week – did anyone notice, we’re not sure but hey, we will keep going?!

We have just recovered from the National Acute Pain Symposium, we’re in planning mode for several new client events and at present consumed with a large charity fireworks night for Nottinghamshire Independent charity My Sight Nots.

We will hold our hands up as this is not something we have ever organised before as most of our events are corporate, but we like to think a good event manager can turn their hands to anything, so we are looking forward to the event.

It’s being held at The Jockey Club venues in Nottingham, Nottingham Racecourse on Sunday 4 November and should be very family friendly as in addition to the great fireworks display, we have also organised a range of side stalls and attractions including everything from Hook a Duck to Dodgems.

It’s not been the easiest thing to pull together as every fairground ride in the country descended on Nottingham this last weekend for Goose Fair, one of the largest in the country.

But we got there in the end and hope that many will join us for a fabulous afternoon of entertainment and fun from 4pm on the Sunday. With a bar, tea room and lots of tasty treats up for grabs including fish and chips, mushy peas and candy floss, it should be a great experience which will end with a spectacular display from Galaxy Fireworks.

And although we have left it a little late, we’d hope as many people as possible will join us on this amazing event of fun

Have a great week!

What's Floating Around Cloud 9? 17 September 2018

Welcome to another week and two big client events are our focus this week - the first being the official launch of the new My Sight Notts offices in central Nottingham.

To help kick start the proceedings, Paralympian Gold Medal Winner Tim Reddish is attending along with other key dignitaries from the City.   Tim is an inspiration as he won gold medals, transformed the British Disabled Swim team to the most successful of all time, and was chair of the British Paralympic Association in the greatly successful London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.

He might have a disability, but he’s made up for it and more with everything he’s achieved and although he is blind, Tim believes in using his abilities to make the most of what he has.

The event is also the launch platform of the new My Sight Lottery, where we have just 175 places available to sign up for, pay £10 a month - and each month, one lucky winner will win £500, one will win £200 and one will win £50. Much better odds than the National Lottery and all profits go straight to the Charity so its a win win!

The second event is the National Acute Pain Symposium which takes place in Harrogate. This two day conference has some amazing content and the keynote speaker is joining us from Australia, Prod Pam McIntyre.

The event attracts 300 delegates and is a mix of Doctors and Nurses and Pain Consultants, and although the majority of delegates are based in the UK, as the longest established pain meeting in the world, the event also sees a size able proportion of International attendees.

So busy week ahead, and not much time to report on much more, apart from to update the 50 Fam Mission for Paula here at Cloud 9 Towers

One week down and one fam down - huge thanks to Jurys Sheffield - you kick started my mission in style!

51/49

Have a great week everyone!
