What's Floating Around Cloud 9 This Week....

Week Commencing 30th January....

Announcing the Nominations for the fourth annual Fresh PR Awards on Monday. With entries from a variety of great consultancies and in house communications teams, you can be sure of a great spread of some of the finest campaigns around. Just click the link to see if you have made the grade this year http://www.freshawards.co.uk. The event takes place on 1st March at the Deansgate Hilton in Manchester! Tickets also available now!

Also still looking for a great judging venue for Fresh for this year. With the Olympics in Summer this year we will have to push judging back a little as many of our chairs are heavily involved including Dan Cresta from CBS Outdoor who chairs our Media Panel. We had a great if somewhat strange time in Skegness last year so it will be difficult to top!

So we are taking a look at a venue in Doncaster. Not a glamorous location I know but an interesting location with lots to do in the area! We will keep you posted on whether this works as a venue!

Meeting with Clear Presentations to see how we can work together on the Fresh PR Awards amongst other things  http://www.clearpresentations.com/ which should be interesting!

Looking forward to the official launch party of the new Mercure Hotel in Nottingham as its undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment. What used to the George Hotel in Nottingham was the scene of many a drunken night out in Paula's (much) younger days, dancing round the handbags and listening to some great 80's classic tunes, so the team are keen to see the changes!

And if we are not too hungover we are going for lunch and a look round the new hotel at Drayton Manor Park with a good friend who is heavily involved with the new look BPA, which used to be the BPA, or Birmingham Publicity Association, changed its name to PACE, the Publicity Association of Central England and is now the BPA again!

Our Royal Ascot Ladies Day Event Comes to Nottingham is really starting to pick up the pace as we have over 20 different stall holders confirmed selling everything from fruit vinegars to frocks, soaps to scarves and its only January, so not many places left. Tickets are now available via Eventbrite which you can find at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/2556510592/esearch?srnk=2 . With shopping, canapes and champers, lunch, afternoon and big screen action live from Ascot, its sure to be a great day out!

PS. And we are being very rude this week and attending a Blue Bella Party but we won't be reporting what we buy here!
